​Sand artist Kseniya Simonova has created a sand video for the famous song "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" written by Gordon Lightfoot and performed by a unique music a capella band from Canada called "Cadence". All music was produced by the human voice.

"I am very happy to share the new project. I have shot this sand story for a beautiful and serious song performed by a unique music team Cadence (Canada). Received a big joy of the collabouration, I love the manner Cadence performs and I respect them for choosing this theme - memory of gone sailors. It is the aim of art actually - to make the viewers not forget, to keep their hearths warm..."

On the 40th anniversary of the legendary sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Toronto’s Cadence take you back to that fateful day 40 years ago (November 10, 1975) with their intensely moving and completely 100 percent ‘a cappella’ arrangement of iconic Canadian singer, songwriter Gordon Lightfoot’s “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”.

With stunning vocal sharpness and instrumental imitation, this collaborative music and video project pairs Cadence with world renowned multi-award winning Together, as a tribute, Cadence and Kseniya Simonova tell the tale of the 29 sailors who lost their lives on Lake Superior four decades ago.
